1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using EmbedRoute ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

EmbedRoute provides a unified API that routes embedding requests to multiple providers (OpenAI, Voyage AI, Cohere, Mistral). We act as an intermediary, forwarding your requests and returning results.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and API keys. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. API Usage and Rate Limits

  • You may use the API for lawful purposes only.
  • Do not attempt to circumvent rate limits, usage quotas, or security measures.
  • Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
  • Do not use the Service to generate content that violates applicable laws or the acceptable use policies of the underlying embedding providers.

5. Billing and Payments

  • EmbedRoute uses a pay-as-you-go model. You pre-load credits which are consumed as you make API requests.
  • Pricing is based on token usage and varies by provider. Current pricing is displayed on our website and documentation.
  • Credits are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.

6. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service depends on third-party embedding providers, and their availability affects ours. We are not liable for downtime caused by provider outages, maintenance, or force majeure events.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge that your input text is transmitted to third-party embedding providers for processing.

8. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your data and the embeddings generated through the Service. EmbedRoute retains ownership of the Service, its software, branding, and documentation.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EmbedRoute shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease and any remaining credits may be forfeited.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify you of material changes via email.
